Precision Digital Temperature Instrument and Probe

The B-T-I® is a precision digital temperature indicator. It is designed to deliver years of trouble-free
service for spot temperature measurement. The B-T-I® Probe is designed for long life and reliable
service. The actual sensing element is protected by a thin Polymide film. This allows the cleaning
of the sensor without damaging the sensitive element. The actual probe tip is only 1/4” in diameter.
The probe is supplied with a 3’ coiled cord that can extend up to 15’.

Operation is simple and easy. The probe tip should be pre-warmed for 30 seconds, then moved to a spot close to the intended point of measurement for another 15 seconds. This will warm the probe tip to a temperature close to the actual temperature being measured. When taking the actual measurements, place the probe in contact with the area of interest and hold in position for 5 to 10 seconds. If taking a second measurement, immediately apply it to the new area of interest and hold for 5 to 10 seconds, then re-apply it to the first area for 10 seconds

High visibility display: The 1/2” tall Liquid Crystal display is maintenance free and is visible in dim ambient light to direct sunlight.

Controls: On/Off switch

Battery: Uses one 9V battery located in the battery compartment. The battery lasts up to 1200 hours.

Low Battery Alert: Automatic battery check will display “LO BAT” when the instrument has approximately 50 hours of power left.

Environment: The BTI operates from +50°F to +120°F. The storage range for this instrument is -67°F to +170°F.

Tempered Glass Display Window: The tempered glass display window allows the use of the B-T-I in many environments where typical plastic windows would fail through leakage or diminished visibility. The scratch-proof tempered glass is easily cleaned and will withstand continual use.
